Feeling great can be super simple:

MULTITASKING!

Yup that badge of honour you wear so proudly because you can do a million things at once is not your friend.

But Rach, you talk about habit stacking, isn’t that multitasking?

Yes and no!

Habit stacking is about practicing MAX 2 things at once when (and only when) 1 of those practices is so much of a habit it requires unconscious effort from you.

For example brushing your teeth or even driving the car to work, because it’s something you’ve done a million times before!

This means you can give most of your conscious effort to the 1 new habit you want to add to your day.

Multitasking however is usually when you’re practicing numerous activities at once that ALL require conscious effort from you.

Such as feeding the kids, while cooking yourself dinner, reading a book or listening to a podcast AND trying to have a conversation with your husband!

Your attention is so split that nothing and no one really gets the full focus they deserve or need.

But we’ve been encouraged that multitasking is the way to be, that when it comes to resting - watching a show, reading a book or relaxing in the bath. You feel like you should be using the time more productively. So you check your emails, make content, do the food shop online - just to get it done and justify your relaxation time.

It’s time to simplify and yes it might be challenging at first (I’m not gonna sugar coat it!)
