3 things I wish overworked business women knew earlier about prioritising their wellbeing
Tell me I’m not the only one that’s done this…
Believed I had to do every damn thing myself meaning I completely sabotaged my health!
The never ending to do list and expectations I put on myself were a recipe for burn out.
Yet I kept pushing because I was passionate about my business.
I told myself everything had to be perfect before another soul could see it!
Trying to do it all because I didn’t dare ask for help.
As a Wellbeing Coach these are the 3 things I wish I knew earlier in my life and what I help ‘busy’ women navigate through to ensure they can finally prioritise their wellbeing.
1 You are the golden goose
I spoke about Denise D-T’s book on my podcast in episode 35 and this was one of my key takeaways.
Without YOU your business or work project would fall apart.
Pushing yourself without resting, refilling and reflecting is a guaranteed way to burn out.
Honour that without the golden goose there’d be no golden eggs!
2 Perfectionism is holding you back
Pretty good to you might be AMAZING to someone else!
Stop letting perfection get in your way!
Get your work out there and then perfect it.
Getting feedback and other points of view is the best way to ensure what you put out into the world is what others want and need.
3 Buy back your time
Delegate, delete and ditch
This one can seem challenging but it’s so worth it.
Go through your to do list and focus on the TOP 3 for today.
Anything else can wait, be given to someone else to do or gotten rid of completely.
Be honest with yourself, do you REALLY need to do everything on that list?
Stop micromanaging your team or family and delegate out jobs to get your time back for your self care.
When you feel great, your work reflects that.
When you take time for yourself, your time and family learn that they can do that too.
To shortcut this process, I offer 1:1 support within my wellbeing program The Vibrant Wellbeing Method.
